Arriv\u00e9e sur la Barbade en d\u00e9but de nuit, le dimanche 27 d\u00e9cembre. Un seul mouillage possible sur cette \u00eele pr\u00e8s de Bridgetown. Une dizaine de bateaux, des faiseaux lumineux et les boum boum d’un bar ou d’une boite de nuit. Une arriv\u00e9e \u00e9trange apr\u00e8s ces 15 jours en mer, mais peu importe nous sommes heureux que le bateau soit \u00e0 l’arr\u00eat, et profitons d’une bonne nuit de sommeil, l’esprit serein … 10H de repos d’affil\u00e9 un vrai luxe ! Nous arrivons \u00e0 13H le mardi 29 d\u00e9cembre au port du Marin en Martinique. Plein d’eau, nettoyage, avitaillement, lessive … et reprise de l’\u00e9cole apr\u00e8s 15 jours de pause …\u00a0 Ils ne savent plus, ne se souviennent plus …dur, dur ! Les enseignants qui r\u00e9cup\u00e8rent nos enfants apr\u00e8s 2 mois de vacances d’\u00e9t\u00e9 ont toute notre admiration !\u00a0<\/span>Le moment des courses est une v\u00e9ritable f\u00eate : fromage, magret de canard, boudins cr\u00e9oles, accras de morue … et rhum \u00e9videmment !\u00a0<\/span>Le lendemain, nous mouillons aux Anses d’Arlet o\u00f9 nous retrouvons notre bateau copain les Vog ma Bog pour f\u00eater la nouvelle ann\u00e9e.<\/span><\/p>

Les Anses d’Arlet<\/strong><\/p>

Nous sommes tr\u00e8s heureux de revoir les copains, rencontr\u00e9s au d\u00e9but de notre p\u00e9riple, se raconter les anecdotes de notre travers\u00e9e, et se d\u00e9tendre autour d’un ti-punch ou d’une pina colada ! Nous barbotons dans des eaux christallines \u00e0 28\u00b0. Nous observons les poissons multicolores et les tortues vertes. Les enfants retrouvent les joies du sable et se lancent imm\u00e9diatement dans la construction d’un immense fort! Premier contact avec la douceur de vivre des Antilles comme nous l’ avons imagin\u00e9. Nous passons quelques jours de l\u00e2cher prise total, \u00e0 profiter pleinement.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

La c\u00f4te au vent\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>

Le lundi 4 janvier nous quittons les Anses d’Arlet et partons explorer la c\u00f4t\u00e9 Est de la Martinique.\u00a0La navigation sur la c\u00f4te Est, est technique et exigente, car la c\u00f4te est battue par les vents et la houle. Elle offre de tr\u00e8s bons mouillages, une fois pass\u00e9e la barri\u00e8re de corail, appel\u00e9e \u00e9galement cayes.\u00a0Un oeil sur le sondeur et l’autre sur le GPS, nous avan\u00e7ons prudemment entre les Cayes. Armel \u00e0 l’avant contr\u00f4le la couleur de l’eau. Le but est de rester dans le bleu turquoise ou marine si \u00e7a tire sur le jaune, marron, \u00e7a sent pas bon !<\/p>

Derri\u00e8re la barri\u00e8re de corail, les mouillages sont tr\u00e8s prot\u00e9g\u00e9s et peu fr\u00e9quent\u00e9s. Nous mouillons en milieu d’apr\u00e8s-midi sous un ciel gris derri\u00e8re l’\u00eelet Thierry plus connu sous le nom de baignoire de Jos\u00e9phine.\u00a0<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

La l\u00e9gende raconte que cette baignoire porte le nom de l’imp\u00e9ratrice Jos\u00e9phine, la femme de Napol\u00e9on 1er, qui aimait s’y baigner.\u00a0Nous sommes seuls au mouillage, l’endroit est vraiment chouette et tranquille, un banc de sable et un petit lagon. Sur l’\u00eelet nous faisons notre premi\u00e8re rencontre avec big bernard ! Le bernard l’hermite terrestre des caraibes est \u00e9norme et on le trouve hors de l’eau sur les sentiers c\u00f4tiers o\u00f9 dans la mangrove, la premi\u00e8re fois \u00e7a surprend ! Le lendemain en fin de matin\u00e9e, le lieu perd de sa qui\u00e9tude ! L’endroit est pris\u00e9 par les excursionnistes \u00e0 la journ\u00e9e : 2 catamarans et 3 bateaux moteurs jettent leur ancre au milieu du lagon ! Musique \u00e0 fond et rhum direct dans le gosier\u00a0 … y a de l’ambiance !<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Nous mouillons ensuite pr\u00e8s de l’\u00eele Chancel.\u00a0 Cette \u00eele est priv\u00e9e mais une petite partie est accessible au public. Elle h\u00e9berge une des derni\u00e8res colonies d’iguanes des Petites Antilles. End\u00e9mique des Petites Antilles, cet iguane est actuellement en danger d’extinction notamment \u00e0 cause de l’arriv\u00e9e de l’iguane commun avec lequel il est en comp\u00e9tition. Pas \u00e9vident de les r\u00e9p\u00e9rer, ils se fondent dans le d\u00e9cor. Solal, notre oeil de lynx, est le premier \u00e0 en voir un au milieu du feuillage. Impressionnant ce l\u00e9zard g\u00e9ant, “aux allures d’animal pr\u00e9historique”.\u00a0<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

L’Ilet Chancel est \u00e9galement notre premier contact avec la mangrove, for\u00eat inond\u00e9e par les mar\u00e9es compose\u00e9e d’arbres aux racines tentaculaires qui s’avancent dans la mer. En s’imbriquant les unes aux autres, les racines forment un enchev\u00eatrement inextricable qui prot\u00e8ge le littoral en cas de fortes houles de temp\u00eates. La mangrove abrite des crabes et plusieurs esp\u00e8ces d’oiseaux. Elle sert \u00e9galement d’\u00e9closerie \u00e0 de nombreux poissons et crustac\u00e9s.\u00a0Nous faisons quelques plong\u00e9es au milieu des r\u00e9cifs et profitons de notre dernier mouillage derri\u00e8re l’\u00eelet Madame, amarr\u00e9 \u00e0 la Mangrove. Les retrouvailles<\/strong><\/p>

Nous rejoignons le port du Marin pour l’ avitaillement et la logistique du bord. Cette escale sera marqu\u00e9e par des retrouvailles. Le jour de notre arriv\u00e9e au port du Marin, Christine et S\u00e9bastien, des copains de Sarzeau, en vacances en Martinique, se balade sur le port et tombe nez \u00e0 nez avec notre bateau !\u00a0<\/p>

Nous retrouvons \u00e9galement Pascal et Barbara sur le catamaran Pommeliane. Nous les avions rencontr\u00e9 en Tunisie, lors de notre pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent “sailing trip” en M\u00e9dit\u00e9rran\u00e9e, il y a 11 ans d\u00e9j\u00e0 ! Ils sont \u00e0 pr\u00e9sent bas\u00e9s au Marin et propose du charter vers les \u00eeles Grenadines. Retour aux Anses d’Arlet, qui devient un peu notre fief \ud83d\ude42 pour le go\u00fbter des colibris, 25 enfants voyageurs et leurs parents sont r\u00e9unis sur les anses d’Arlet. Un beau  moment d’\u00e9changes et de partage organis\u00e9 par Michelle (b\u00e2teau Martin), qui a \u00e9t\u00e9 institutrice \u00e0 l’\u00e9cole des anses d’Arlet pendant de nombreuses ann\u00e9es.<\/p>\n

Nous poursuivons sur Anse Noire, un beau mouillage le long d’une plage de sable noir volcanique. Nous assistons \u00e0 une s\u00e9ance de p\u00eache \u00e0 la Senne “th\u00e9\u00e2tralis\u00e9e” dans l’anse voisine, l’anse Dufour. Elle se pratique depuis la plage avec un filet d’une longueur qui varie entre 200 et 600 m\u00e8tres. Les p\u00eacheurs forment deux groupes et tirent les extr\u00e9mit\u00e9s du filet formant ainsi un U dans la baie, permettant la capture des poissons. Cette technique est dirig\u00e9e par un ma\u00eetre senneur. Cette pratique n\u00e9cessite beaucoup de bras pour ramener le filet et remonter les barques \u00e0 terre.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Fort de France<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mouillage \u00e0 c\u00f4t\u00e9 du Fort Saint Louis, \u00e0 deux pas du centre de Fort de France. Nous partons avec les Vagabond en bus \u00e0 l’assaut de la cascade du Didier. Au d\u00e9part du sentier un grand panneau rouge avec l’inscription suivante “ZONE INTERDITE – DEFENSE D ENTREE, tout contrevenant sera passible d’une amende de 75 000 \u20ac”, ah ouais quand m\u00eame … malgr\u00e9 le panneau l’endroit \u00e0 l’air pas mal fr\u00e9quent\u00e9 …  bon c’est parti ! Nous traversons un tunnel non \u00e9clair\u00e9 et glissant, par moment la rambarde est cass\u00e9e … nous jouons \u00e0 l’\u00e9quilibriste sur  les conduites d’eaux ! Nous progressons ensuite au milieu d’une v\u00e9g\u00e9tation luxuriante sous la pluie et dans la gadoue et nous finissons de l’eau jusqu’au ventre pour remonter la cascade. Ca vaut le coup la cascade et la jungle qui l’entoure sont grandioses ! Pour cl\u00f4turer cette  randonn\u00e9e en beaut\u00e9, une belle glissade avant l’arriv\u00e9e et je me retrouve le derri\u00e8re dans la gadoue ! c’est l’aventure !<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Nous visitons le jardin de Balata qui habrite aujourd’hui 3000 esp\u00e8ces de plantes tropicales. Les panneaux d’informations sont accessibles et p\u00e9dagogiques, nous apprenons plein de choses sur le palmier qui n’est pas un arbre mais une “herbe g\u00e9ante” le fromager ou encore les bambous qui battent des records de croissance et peuvent atteindre 10 m\u00e8tres en 15 jours. Le 24 janvier, retour aux Anses d’Arlet, nous nous pr\u00e9parons \u00e0 accueillir Julien et Christine, mon fr\u00e8re, et sa famille. Les enfants sont impatients de retrouver leurs cousins, d\u00e8s le r\u00e9veil et environ toutes les heures, la question revient en boucle :\u00a0 “maman, c’est maintenant que les cousins arrivent” … leur arriv\u00e9e est pr\u00e9vue en fin d’apr\u00e8s-midi … la journ\u00e9e va \u00eatre longue !<\/p>
