Le 29 mars, nous quittons le mouillage de Deshaies direction l\u2019\u00eele d\u2019Antigua distante de 40 miles.<\/p>

Le vent souffle depuis plusieurs jours, aujourd\u2019hui il est l\u00e9g\u00e8rement mollissant mais encore soutenu. Il faudrait encore patienter quelques jours pour b\u00e9n\u00e9ficier de conditions de navigation agr\u00e9ables, mais nous souhaitons arriver avant le week-end de P\u00e2ques, (incluant le vendredi saint) . Nous avons peur de nous retrouver coinc\u00e9s en quarantaine plusieurs jours dans l\u2019attente de la r\u00e9ouverture des bureaux de la police d\u2019immigration et des administrations de contr\u00f4le sanitaires, probablement ferm\u00e9es pendant ce week-end prolong\u00e9 !<\/p>

Nous larguons donc les amarres et naviguons au plus pr\u00e8s de la c\u00f4te \u00e0 l\u2019abri de la barri\u00e8re de corail pour remonter au maximum au vent avant de mettre le cap sur Antigua travers au vent.<\/p>

Le pilote ne tient pas le cap, nous barrons donc \u00e0 tour de r\u00f4le, le temps est couvert, la mer est forte \u2026 la navigation est \u00e9prouvante. En ces temps de covid \u2026 une solidarit\u00e9 entre navigateurs s\u2019organisent pour pouvoir continuer \u00e0 voyager. Les r\u00e8glementations \u00e9voluent continuellement et ce n\u2019est pas toujours facile de s\u2019y retrouver et d\u2019avoir des renseignements actualis\u00e9s. Des retours d\u2019exp\u00e9riences, des conseils, des astuces sur les contr\u00f4les et politiques sanitaires appliqu\u00e9s sur les diff\u00e9rentes \u00eeles circulent de bouche \u00e0 oreille de voyageurs ou \u00e0 d\u00e9faut via les r\u00e9seaux sociaux\u00a0! Nous suivons donc les conseils des navigateurs qui nous ont proc\u00e9d\u00e9s et choisissons une arriv\u00e9e sur English Harbour plus souple avec les voyageurs, plut\u00f4t qu\u2019\u00e0 Saint John\u2019s qui impose une septaine. Effectivement apr\u00e8s 24H de quarantaine (contr\u00f4le sanitaire, police d\u2019immigration et clearance d\u2019entr\u00e9e) nous sommes libres de naviguer dans les eaux Antiguaises. Antigua est une \u00eele cr\u00e9ole \u00e0 la sauce britannique. Le port d\u2019English Harbour, situ\u00e9 au sein du National Park Nelson\u2019s Dockyard, est situ\u00e9 entre deux falaises et donc peu visible de la mer. Le port et ses deux grandes baies accueillent de magnifiques yachts rac\u00e9s, certains dont le m\u00e2t d\u00e9passe les 50 m\u00e8tres. \u00a0Derri\u00e8re la vitrine, du port, des restaurants et des h\u00f4tels, le d\u00e9cor change \u2026 des cases en bois, des boui-boui, des carcasses de voitures. Antigua vit essentiellement du tourisme \u2026 inexistant depuis 1 an. Nous partons au mouillage de Non Such Bay \u00e0 proximit\u00e9 de Green Island. Cette \u00eele priv\u00e9e, accessible uniquement par la mer, appartient au tr\u00e8s select Mill Reef Yacht Club. Un petit paradis, super abrit\u00e9, nous sommes comme sur un lac. Nous f\u00eatons P\u00e2ques sur le bateau et d\u00e9vorons rapidement tout ces chocolats avant qu\u2019ils ne fondent\u00a0!<\/p>

Nous d\u00e9barquons sur la plage de Green Island. Vers midi, notre voisin anglais arrive \u00e0 la nage pour nous pr\u00e9venir que l\u2019acc\u00e8s aux plages est interdit pendant le week-end de P\u00e2ques, un ami l\u2019a pr\u00e9venu … les gardes c\u00f4tes sont en chemin. Oups \u2026 s\u00fbrement une mesure li\u00e9e au COVID dont nous n\u2019avons pas eu connaissance. Le catamaran kumbaya, nous rejoint au mouillage. Une famille avec 4 enfants, crois\u00e9e rapidement au Cap Vert, la veille de notre transat. Les enfants sont tout contents de retrouver des copains. Nous festoyons ap\u00e9ro, grillades de langoustes p\u00each\u00e9es par Hubert et Fabio \u2026 on se r\u00e9gale ! Nous devons car\u00e9ner le bateau dans quelques jours sur Jolly Harbour, nous quittons le mouillage quelques jours plus tard et poursuivons notre route par le Sud. Nous passons 2 nuits au mouillage \u00e0 Carlisle bay, baie toute ronde, nous sommes seuls. Sur la plage, un bel h\u00f4tel casi d\u00e9sert et derri\u00e8res des cases d\u00e9labr\u00e9s, des hommes et des femmes assis devant une bicoque, des chats errants, des ch\u00e8vres en libert\u00e9 \u2026 le contraste est saisissant. Le lendemain, nous partons en randonn\u00e9e dans la for\u00eat s\u00e8che qui borde la plage, sous un soleil de plomb, ouf \u00e7a cogne\u00a0! Pour motiver les enfants, nous nous amusons \u00e0 chercher les colibris. Il en a beaucoup mais ils sont difficiles \u00e0 voir, tellement ils volent vite. Solal adore les observer et il est tr\u00e8s fort pour rep\u00e9rer le moindre animal ou insecte qui se cache dans la v\u00e9g\u00e9tation. Tout en haut, un beau panorama s\u2019offre \u00e0 nous. Nous sommes \u00e0 Cactusville, une multitude de t\u00eates d\u2019anglais \u2026on dirait un champ de bataille. Nous reprenons la mer en direction de Jolly Harbour pour car\u00e9ner le bateau. Une belle navigation, peu de fond et une eau bleu turquoise o\u00f9 nous croisons quelques tortues qui longent la c\u00f4te.\u00a0Nous arrivons dans la lagune de Jolly Harbour en fin de journ\u00e9e. Le lendemain \u00e0 9H30 p\u00e9tante, nous sommes amarr\u00e9s de flanc pr\u00e8s du travel lift. Nous avons pr\u00e9par\u00e9 les sacs et je quitte le b\u00e2teau avec les enfants. A cause du covid pas de possibilit\u00e9 de dormir \u00e0 bord au sein du chantier, c’est donc l’occasion d’une petite escale de 2 nuits \u00e0 terre dans un petit h\u00f4tel sur Jolly Harbour. Fabio s’att\u00e8le au car\u00e8nage du bateau pendant que les enfants et moi rejoignons notre chambre d’h\u00f4tel avec clim et 9 oreillers sur chaque lit. Les enfants les ont compt\u00e9s pour eux \u00e7a symbolise le luxe ultime \ud83d\ude09 L’ espace, le grand lit, la douche chaude … on savoure le confort !<\/p>

Apr\u00e8s 3 jours de travail efficace, car\u00e9nage, r\u00e9paration d’une fuite dans le r\u00e9servoir avant et v\u00e9rification de la bague hydrolube, ab\u00eem\u00e9e suite aux incidents avec les casiers,\u00a0 Aquavel est de retour sur l’eau. Nous partons d\u00e9couvrir Saint John’s, la capitale d’Antigua, situ\u00e9 \u00e0 une dizaine de kilom\u00e8tres. On chausse nos baskets et c’est parti ! Au bout d’une heure de marche, nous arrivons au village de Five Islands o\u00f9 on nous indique une aubette de bus. Au bout d’une vingtaine de minutes un bus collectif arrive, int\u00e9rieur noir, si\u00e8ges en cuir rouge et au plafond une moquette avec des t\u00eates de morts. G\u00e9nial !\u00a0<\/p>

Petite exploration sous-marine de l’\u00e9pave du voilier “Andes”\u00a0 navire \u00e0 trois m\u00e2ts en acier, parti de Trinidad le 5 juin 1905 avec une cargaison de 1 330 barils de poix destin\u00e9s au pavage des routes du Chili. Le “Andes” a pris feu et a coul\u00e9 \u00e0 Deep Bay le 9 juin 1905.<\/p>

Nous partons vers le nord en direction de Great Bird Island, 15 miles au moteur entre les r\u00e9cifs. Nous arrivons devant ces petits \u00eelots granitiques, un petit air de m\u00e9dit\u00e9rran\u00e9e. Nous sommes seuls au mouillage. Il se d\u00e9gage de ce lieu une grande qui\u00e9tude et nous devinons de beaux fond marins \u00e0 d\u00e9couvrir. Nous partons explorer en annexe. A l’arri\u00e8re une petite plage de sable et quelques tables en bois, nous sommes conquis ! Le 19 avril, nous partons au portant vers l’\u00eele de Barbuda \u00e0 25 miles au nord. Durant la navigation, soudain un grand jet d’eau, puis une nageoire caudale. Je h\u00e8le les enfants, ils d\u00e9boulent dans le cockpit et se collent le long des fili\u00e8res. La baleine plonge \u00e0 nouveau, nous apercevons encore quelques souffles, puis elle s’\u00e9loigne. Ces moments sont tellement furtifs, qu’ils sont tr\u00e8s diffciles \u00e0 capturer. Nous sommes \u00e9merveill\u00e9s avec juste l’envie de profiter de cet instant magique et \u00e9ph\u00e9m\u00e8re ! Nous mouillons \u00e0 Cocao Bay, longue plage de sable, une eau chaude d’un bleu incroyable sous un ciel bleu azur. Nous retrouvons Romain, Adeline et Elena sur le bateau Romadeleya. Nous nous suivons depuis l’Espagne et nous croisons r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement sur notre parcours. Nous passons une nuit \u00e0 la pointe de Gravenor bay , l’acc\u00e8s est assez complexe car il y a peu de fond et de nombreuses “patates” de corail. L’endroit est beau et nu, mais \u00e7a souffle fort, et la nuit n’est pas tr\u00e8s sereine avec la hantise que l’ancre d\u00e9rape au milieu des r\u00e9cifs. Nous restons une nuit et remontons vers un mouillage plus prot\u00e9g\u00e9.\u00a0<\/p>

Nous mouillons \u00e0 proximit\u00e9 de Codrington afin d’effectuer notre clearance de sortie pour quitter le territoire et rejoindre l’\u00eele de Saint barthelemy. Suite au Cyclone IRMA en 2017, l’\u00eele de Barbuda a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9vast\u00e9e, 95 % des infrastructures ont \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9truites et l’\u00eele a \u00e9t\u00e9 totalement \u00e9vacu\u00e9e. Une br\u00e8che a ouvert le lagon autrefois enti\u00e8rement ferm\u00e9. Codrington est fortement marqu\u00e9e par les stigmates du cyclone, cette petite\u00a0ville regroupe la totalit\u00e9 des habitants de cette \u00eele<\/span>\u00a0… le temps est suspendu.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
